Hey there Raymy! Thanks for making your own post. :) I noticed you are using a Datel wireless adapter. Do you know the model of this adapter? And, have you tried a direct connection using ethernet between your console and modem? This would help us narrow down where the issue may lie. Thanks! :)

Greetings, Big Raymy! I know you mentioned that you are unable to connect with an ethernet cable due to your living situation. However, would it be possible to temporarily use a wired connection for testing purposes? It would be very helpful to know how your apps behave when directly connected.

When you experience these disconnects, are you connected from LIVE altogether, or is it just the app that fails? I would recommend deleting the apps, clearing your cache, restarting your console, and downloading them again. Let me know if this helps! Thanks in advance.

I'll try and set up a cable but it won't be for a few weeks as i will be working away.

The apps kick me off live altogether. I have deleted at least 2 and cleared cache a number of times after reading other posts elsewhere. It is still completely random when it boots me off, it might be after half an hour or after 30 seconds. Tonight i managed to watch iplayer for a few hours and only get kicked 3 times. Other times it will continually kick me out of live. With Netflix it restarts from the last point, but with iplayer, you need to restart the show and fast forward every time. Very frustrating.

Many thanks

Thanks for the update, Big Raymy. I can understand how that would be frustrating. When you uninstalled the app did you also remove any save files that may be associated with it?

Let us know how the direct connection goes when you have a chance. Standing by!

I removed all traces of the apps completely.

I'll try this again with all of them in the faint hope it helps, but i'll keep you posted on the direct connection later

Many thanks

Hi folks

Update

I didn't delete the apps or the cache and found an Ethernet cable long enough for very cheap online.

So far, video apps have remained online. There has been no disconnect thus far.

Oddly, sometime when I switch the machine on and sit in dashboard, it sometimes just randomly kicks me out of live. When it starts doing this it does it continually for a few minutes. When I start something up like netflix, iplayer or a game, there's no issue. This is with ethernet connected.

Bizarre. But it works and its all fine for all intents and purposes.

Any ideas are greatly welcomed however, its essentially fixed but any further info you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Well further investigations have thrown up the possibility that the ISP may be at fault. I am with Virgin Media in the UK and am experiencing some lag issues with FIFA 12. The Virgin forums are awash with complaints that the SuperHUB's are to blame.

Have you head of any issues with Virgin at all?

Many thanks
