Using iPod on Xbox

I have an iPod touch 3rd generation and I want to use it to play music on my xbox. any suggestions?

Any device running on IOS platform will not be compatible.

3rd gen Ipod and older you are able to play on the console.

Anything newer Ipod will not.

Should also add - non-updated - ipod working on the xbox has to do with before Apple did all the stop tactics to Blackberry from allowing BB devices to connect to Itunes and move music.

But I want to listen to my music while gaming I have some good metal to kill too while playing MW3 but I want to play though my headset and not iPod speaker dock

Hey Whitelion56, as has been said IOS devices are not compatible. You can always configure your Windows Media Center and play music through that feature though. :)
