Used a 12 month xbl gold membership card and still charged my monthly fee

I used a 12 month membership card last week and you are charging me the monthly 9.99 again even though it says I'm good till 2014 why is that?

I would call 1-800-4-MY-XBOX and get a hold of billing and they should be able to help clear this up for you. You can also have them call you back by going here.support.xbox.com/.../contact-us. I hope that helps.

The auto renewal does take precedence over the card.  You still need to turn it off.  Contact support at the link above to do this.
