usb transfer issues

i originally had and older xbox 360 elite that i shared with my brother. when i moved away from home i purchased a 360-S before i left i configured a 4 gig usb flash drive to my elite and transferred 2 saved mass effect 2 game profiles and some dlc to the flash drive. which worked fine, i had no issues at all with the transfer. when i went to transfer this data to my new 360-S i located my usb device and everything was in order, my new xbox was able to acknowledge that the files where there. i then proceeded to transfer the data from the usb drive to my new xbox. all the DLC transferred with out a problem, but when i tried to transfer my saved games an error message popped up sating that i (CANNOT TRANSFER BETWEEN PROFILES)....i also recied another error message when i turned the game on that i purchased the dlc for that said my dlc data was corrupted and that it needed to be re-downloaded again...i have no idea what is going on pleas help me, those saved games are very important. i will appreciate any advice

thanks,

You may need to transfer the licenses for the content. You can only do this from the xbox site. It has very nice step by step instructions. The profile thing im not sure about.

For the record, save files cannot be shared or transferred between profiles. If you're still looking for the license migration tool, you can find it here.

The licenses are tied to the DLC, not game saves. Are the saves on your brother's profile, or do you have a profile on his console? If it's your profile, you can either recover the account to your console, or transfer it over on a USB drive. If the account belongs to your brother, you'll need to start a new game.

Yes, that would allow you to play your save profiles on your console.
