USB Flash Drive Questions.

Hi,

Since I have a 4GB S console I am unable to play legacy games due to the lack of a hard drive, would a flash drive solve this or is there any other work around?

Also would I be able to download and play games from XBL, such as Tales of Vesperia, and have it work? Knowing about how some games are sketchy when it comes to 'memory units'.

I would like to know as I refuse to spend the money a Xbox 360 HDD because as its just another one of Microsofts money making schemes. Paying £50+ for a HDD in a plastic case is outrageous.

I'm already resigned to the answer being, 'No, you're going to have to cough up your money to us, and buy our vastly overpriced, bog standard HDD (Mwahaha)', but thought I would ask anyways.

Thanks for any feedback,

Brad

no you need an offical xbox hd being as it is a s model you only have the 250gig S hd option for Backwards compatiblity

xbox live games will work except for the ones that require a hd

halo games will not function without an offical hd for coop

neither will final fantasy 11 or threater in blackops

also the 4gig was only meant for the casual gamer

if yiou are serious about dlc you should've bought the 250gig model that most people buy

No, Im not serious downloading content, thats why I only listed one game I am wanting to download as its available for £15 on xbox live, and over £60 on disc. Surely you're clever enough to work out why I want to download it.

Your drive will work, but not internally and only 16gb of it will be usable for xbox storage.  I did this very thing by using a HDD sata-to-usb enclosure and a re-purposed 15 gb SSD if got out of a POS laptop.  Check the USB storage area of the 101 hardware support for formatting details.  My suggestion, don't buy a new drive.  Ask around to see who has a junked PC with at least 16gb storage and con them out of it.  Happy hunting!  =)
