USB account?

Hello.

Recently my Windows Live ID has been blocked. I didn't find this a problem, though. I just made a new windows live ID and managed my emails and stuff on that. I could still use my xbox account, because it was saved onto my xbox 360.

Yesterday, however, my account corrupted, and I can't use it anymore. I tried downloading the profile again, but that didn't work due to the credentials not being right, a.k.a my windows live ID is blocked. I've tried getting it back a few times, but that didn't work.

I still have a USB made for xbox that I used to transfer data from my old xbox 360 arcade to my new xbox 360 Slim. On my friends xbox 360, the profile is still there, unharmed. Can I copy the account to the USB stick, then put the account on my Xbox 360, and continue playing?

Hi there,

I think that would work, but copying it is out of the question, you can only move it, but that might work as long as your profile's password is remembered on your console.

But my advise also is to prevent any issue in the future is to try to regain access your that blocked windows account

Thanks for the help. It's really appreciated. I'll try that sometime when the flu is gone.

1) Take the old addresse to http://account.live.com/password/reset for the password reset

2) If you can't reset it, go to http://account.live.com/acsr SAVE THE EMAILS SENT TO YOU

3) If that fails, contact Support and provide them with the Console ID number from Settings | System | Console Settings | System Info (it's on the 2nd line) and the reference number from the email sent to you in Step 2, and submit a UE Request. It is faster to have the Agent call you by going to http://support.xbox.com/contact-us?xr=footnav#0:6:3 or you can look up the phone number from the 1st web link in the .sig shown below.
