Upgrading to Gold membership from Free trial

I get this message when trying to upgrade my membership from Free Trial to Gold Memebership "This action cannot be performed at this time. Please try again later. For more information, go to http://www.xbox.com/support." This is at the payment screen and all credit card info is correct. WTf?

Are you attempting purchase on the console or Xbox.com? Have you tried using a different payment method? Are you unable to purchase any other LIVE time or content as well?

Xbox.com here, and I've tried both Visa and Paypal.

I just tried on the console, with the same Visa tried on xbox.com, and that worked.  I'm guessing something is borked on xbox.com
