mine is the same guy been trying for 8 hrs. I get to 75% and says there is a problem....same error too

Having same issue, but found a solution.  I just talked to a Microsoft Rep (Manex) and I was asked to do a manual update using this guide:

support.xbox.com/.../offline-system-update-diagnostic-tool

Why they don't offer this solution right away is beyond me, but it worked perfectly.  But for some, this might be technically challenging as you need to extract files and have a NTFS thumb drive of at least 2GB.

Note: Make sure you use a rear USB port, the side one won't work for this and is meant for controllers only.

I'm having the same problem, same error and couldn't get the console to boot from the diagnostic tool. After an hour on the phone with MS, they are sending me a replacement. Hopefully that fixes it

i have the same build, and am at 83% atm. It's slow as hell, but working. After reading up, most ppl have a problem with their modem/routers. i DMZ'd my xbox, maybe that is why it is working for me maybe?
