Up grading XBOX live membership

I am trying to upgrade my gold membership which I pay monthly by direct debt to a family pack. The message I get is cannot be processed now please try later. The same message has come one for two days now. Can it be this hard  or take that long ? Thanks

Hi there have u tried calling Xbox support because they might be abl to do it from there end.
