Unknown runtime error 0x82bc0005

Dear Xbox Support,

 

about a week ago I switched to Windows Phone 8, I am now using a Nokia Lumia 920.
This is great, but since switching I am excperiencing a problem with my Xbox Live Account.

When open games which require a Xbox Live Connection, e.g. Wordament, I get an error.
On my Windows 8 PC, I tried the same and got an "unknown runtime error 0x82bc0005".

I assume something is wrong with my Xbox live account since it happens on any of my devices.

Do you have any advise for me?

Hey there Irgendware! Just for clarification, you are using this same GT on all your Windows devices, correct? Did you create a new account on any of these? Also, what is the specific error you are seeing on the phone when you try load up a LIVE enabled game? Let us know, thanks!

Hey Mister Gwyther,

yes I am using the same Gamer Tag (and same Microsoft Account) on all my devices.

When I start wordament I get just a message "Wordament cannot connect to your Xbox Live account".

On some games it works, e.g. Bejewled Live.

Also I receive an error every time I log into xbox.com

Just a few minutes ago I got this error:

Hey again! For the phone, you could try removing your profile from the phone and then adding it back in. Make sure to back up your phone before doing this though.

As for the website, can you try clearing your browser's cookies and cache and reloading. Also try using different browsers and see if that helps. Let us know, thanks!

Hey Mister Gwyther,

well for Website using different Browsers and even different Computers does not work.

At the Moment I am using a Windows Phone 7 and Windows Phone 8 device at a time. It happens on both devices.

I will try resetting the Windows Phone 7 one tomorrow.

Hey again,

it is because my Xbox Account is blocked, since my Credit Card was blocked due to misuse.

So my Xbox Gold Membership could not be paid.

I will now call Xbox Live Support to resolve issue since entering new credit Card number did not work.
