UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD PROFILE

Hi,  My son's gamer profile disappeared of our console when we tried to redonload we got error code 80070571.   We then found his profile was corrupted so we deleted it from our profile and xbox hard drive, then tried to re download we now get error code 80072EFE.  We have a family membership and thinking I need to delete him from our membership and then try to r-einstall.  Worried if we do this his profile may be lost forever.  No such error code according to xbox website.  Please help

If you can take him of the family membership(make him a silver member) and than re instate him on it that may work, however do not delete his account or it will delete everything.

Hey there Assassin! Remember that if you take someone out of your family plan there's a waiting period before you can put them back in.

Are you still having issues downloading your son's profile? Is it still giving you the same error (80072EFE)? Have you tried:
-Delete the profile ONLY from your storage device (use this guide: support.xbox.com/.../profile-move-delete).
-Clear the system cache (this guide: support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache).
-Restart your console.

Try redownloading the profile again after doing those steps in order and tell us the result. ^_^

We had already  deleted the profile only on the storage device.

So followed links to clear the system catch and that worked.

My son is now happily online again.

I'm having the same problem however I've done all the steps above and even tried to download my account on another Xbox and it simply wouldn't work any suggestions?

Same problem (80072EFE)

-Deleted the profile ONLY from the storage device

-Cleared the system cache

-Restart your console.

Didn't work so I even formatted my HDD , done the system update by clicking left right bumpers (X) x2

still nothing could you possibly help?

im having the same problem , came up with the error code for the corrupted profile , deleted it and cleared system cache and now I cant download profile again I keep getting 80150003 code ... just states something wrong with profile but it doesn't say what ... soooo unhelpful.

im also getting the 80072EFE Error code 80072EFE is a error code for the xbox one ..... I don't have a xbox one!

i'm having the same problem as well and i don't even have a xbox one

i've tried redownloading my profile about 40+ times since 4pm Thursday with no luck whatsoever
