Unable to connect xbox live

So I'vent been able to connect live for a while. I have tried restarting my modem and xbox. I've also forwarded the ports and even tried a bridged connection and I've still not been able to connect. I also updated my xbox using a CD.

My Xbox live connection has worked fine before and I don't know what's happened to it.

Thanks for the reply Rankehi! Can you also describe what you are experiencing for us. Are you always completely unable to connect, or can you connect some times and get disconnected? What is the exact error message you get when you can't connect or get disconnected?

Also, I noticed that you mentioned trying port forwarding. One thing to note here is that UPnP should be disabled when trying this. Can you disable that setting on your router and try the port forwarding again. Let us know if that helps, thanks!

Well I'm always unable to connect. I disabled the UPnP, but it didn't help. Now I had an MTU error but I've forwarded the ports and restarted my router, no change.

Hey Rankehi, one of the first things we should try here is wiring directly to the router (though wiring to the modem would be even better, if possible). Can you please connect your console to your router with an Ethernet cable for testing purposes, and let us know if the same connection issue occurs? :-)

I too could you some help, my XBL worked fine beofre, now i cannot connect to parties or games
