Unable to connect to Xbox live

I keep being asked for email, password then phone number for verification code , I fill in the necessary requirements and everything runs smooth ,then when I try to go on live it happens all over again , have also tried it with email verification code everything runs smooth then again try to go live it happens again have done this process 4 times now . I've checked my account and everything's fine , I just can't sign in to go live . My son can access his live account ok but for some reason I can't keep getting asked security questions ,any ideas anyone ? It's doing my nut in now !

Hi, I am having the same issues, do you receive an error code of 80151103 when trying to connect?

I have just had a go at almost everything but I thought to myself why don't I re-download my profile on to the xbox, It's worked and I am now on xbox live but for how long I don't know. I hope this helps a little.

Hi there Viral,

Sorry to hear you're running into that error code.

There are a few things I would recommend trying for this:

1: Verify your Microsoft account security information

 

Note If you forgot your password or can’t sign in by using your password, Reset your password.

  • Click Edit security info.
  • Verify your security information. For example, verify the Phone numberAlternate email address, and Security question information.
  • Sign out of your Microsoft account, and then sign in again.
  • Try to sign in to Xbox LIVE again. 



2: Clear the System Cache
 

  • Press the Guide button on your controller.
  • Go to Settings and select System Settings.
  • Select Storage or Memory.
  • Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)
  • Select Clear System Cache.
  • When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes



3: Move and then re-download your Xbox LIVE profile
 

  • Format a spare USB flash drive as a Memory Unit.
  • Move your profile to the USB flash drive that you formatted in step 1. To do this, follow these steps:

    • Plug the USB flash drive into your console.
    • From the Dashboard, go to settings, and then select Storage.
    • Select All Devices.
    • Select Gamer Profiles, and then select your gamer profile.
    • Select Move.
    • Select the Memory Unit that you want to move your profile to.
    • Remove the USB flash drive or memory unit from your console.
