Unable to connect to Xbox Live

I've been having this problem for a while now. I've tried all tricks from support page and nothing. I'm currently connected to internet via cabel to make sure it's not WiFi. Xbox Live is still not working. Please help!

this code: 80151909 says there is a problem downloading your profile

what is your Router brand? (comcast Motorola 2Wire)

and last but not least are you trying to play online? well you dont have Gold membership so you are not allowed to play online if you cant connect at all do this

clear system cache:

settings-system-hard drive-hover over HDD- hit Y- clear system cache.

that may clear up your router mess

here's some information that may help

I live in Dublin/Ireland

My getaway model is Cisco EPC2425

I have a built in wireless adapter

Things I have tried:

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes

My internet service is provided by UPC

I'm not trying to play online, but I just want to connect to Xbox live to get my rewards for gaming

I don't have a gold membership, but friend who does, can't connect either through my console.

I've just deleted the cache. I still can't connect. I got error 80151909

I've spent last 3 hours trying to figure it out and it was my getaway settings! It's all sorted! yeay!

Have you tried login in to your router and changing your firewall settings? Problem with mine was that while back I changed mine to high and that was the reason I couldn't connect to Xbox live. I changed them back to low and it's working fine now :-)
