Unable to change my Windows Live ID

When I try and change my Windows Live ID I'm told that I have to wait 30 days however I haven't made any changes to my account in months.

Do you notice any changes on your account? (ie.  Points spent without your authorization, charges, etc)

Can you go to your Windows Live ID section under Account Management and see if the Windows Live ID matches the email address that you've put on your account previously?  If not, I would highly suggest contacting Xbox Support to file an Unauthorized Access claim.

Then unfortunately in that case, you will need to wait the 30 days before you can change it again.  Xbox Support nor Windows Live can bypass this restriction.

But I haven't made any changes in the last 30 days so why am i receiving this error message in the first place?

That message only comes up when the Windows Live ID has been changed within the past 30 days, hence the reason I had you check to be sure there was no evidence of Unauthorized Access.
