The only reason you need a confirmation code is (probably) because you aren't using Internet Explorer to access your account. If you have access to Internet Explorer, you can bypass the need for a confirmation code by using that to access your account.

I have always received the confirmation code email within moments of trying to access my account, so check your junk mail folder/settings.

@Team RodZilla you also need a confirmation code when you're using IE when your computer isn't setup as trusted in the security proofs

Only recent versions of IE can make a PC 'Trusted' and only IE can access the cookies used to show a PC is 'Trusted'. Sorry, no Trusted Macs, tablets or Linux boxen.  It also requires installing http://windows.microsoft.com/.../essentials-home

Go on a PC to http://account.live.com , sign in there, and then click on Edit Security Info below.

Select Add under Trusted PC and it will walk you through the steps to make your PC 'Trusted' which eliminates the need for verify codes.
