Unable to accept ToS

What Country/State/Province do you live in:   USA, WV

Is there a specific error message that shows up:   Requires signing into parent account

How many accounts does the issue affect:   One

Things you've tried:  Logging in online to accept, logging in via Xbox 360

While my account was on a family plan in the past, it is currently on it's own Gold subby. Yet XBL is still requiring me to sign in and accept the new ToS via the "parent" account. That account belongs to my ex-wife. Do you honestly need me to get into details about why that's a problem?

I'm glad to see a fix is being worked on, and I'm more than willing to be patient. In fact, I'm pretty sure today is the last day I'll get to log in until the coming Monday so I'm not sweating it, I can wait. But I would like to suggest something, please. It's from the bulletin copied below.

Hey, Xbox members! We understand that you’re unable to accept the new Terms of Use from accounts that were formerly linked to family memberships. In order to bypass this issue, after you accept the Terms of Use, sign in to the parent account associated with the family membership. We’re grateful for your understanding while we work toward a fix. We’ll update you again in half an hour.

My suggestion is to not allow the underlined part to be the final resolution to this problem. Please.

Please check this out forums.xbox.com/.../1610969.aspx , and i thank you for your patience, I will notify you, If I know there is a solution. As far as that goes, I do not think Xbox is being very clear, or does not fully understand some peoples situation. At this time I recommend you contacting phone support.

As far as my forums page, the only reason I made it, is because I and My friends had success using the items I listed there. Mister Brosky's page is the official one, and I recommend you using that one insted.
