Two XBOX S consoles and Two 250GB HDD

Me and my dad both have an Xbox 360. His is at the Cottage and Mine is at Home. What would Happen if He bought his HDD home and we Popped it in my Console at Home. Would there be any error messages. could he take his hard drive back and forth so he doesn't have to start a game all over after spending hours at home in a single game

My dad also has 76 CDs Ripped to his Xbox 360 S HDD

The best option for transporting saves is a USB Flash Drive. A HDD will work for transporting saves, but games installed from DVD will not. The game installs would have to be deleted and reinstalled as installs are locked to the console and storage device they're created on.

The Cloud isn't possible we don't have internet at our Cottage.

Is it Possible to use a USB flash drive with exfat

Also would it be possible to copy all those 76 CDs that are now on my Dads hard Drive to a Memory Stick to make it faster getting the songs onto my HDD. It was a Chore Ripping all those CDs. I took the time to rip all the CDs so my dad didn't have to swap discs.

There's nothing wrong with what you are asking, but if you are bringing the HD in order to download something off live because the other console doesn't have internet, then it wont be a good idea, and you'd be better bringing the whole console.
Is it Possible to use a USB flash drive with exfat
Not to my knowledge. The console only supports FAT32 for creation of a USB Memory Unit. It should offer to convert the drive to FAT32 for you if it can't read the storage device.
Also would it be possible to copy all those 76 CDs that are now on my Dads hard Drive to a Memory Stick to make it faster getting the songs onto my HDD.
No. Ripping music to the 360 is a one-way affair. Once it is on the console, the only option is to delete it.

You would be better off taking the whole console back and forth or the whole HDD. They are both either slim models, or both not?

There is no problems with swapping HDD's between systems. Your dad will need to log in id. I done this when I bought the new Halo edition 360.

There are several issues with regularly swapping HDDs between consoles as outlined above. It's also worth testing to ensure the music files play when swapped to another console, something I can do later tonight.
