Trying to obtain access for an account I use but cannot due to it having an 'old' email address.

Good evening

I don't know if anyone has had this problem before but I'm trying to use my old account but it has requested a password to sign in which has not popped up before. I received a new console today and correctly installed it (It is a standard Xbox 360 Elite), along with my 60GB hard drive. The hard drive contains all of my information on my account and has never asked for a password for me to sing in before. I cannot do anything with the account because it uses an old Email address (Which is not a windows live ID, this account was set up before any of these procedures were put in place) and that i cannot remember the password for it either. Is there anyway I can gain access to this account to change the Email address and the password for it?

Any time you attach a profile to a different console it will require the password which matches the gamertag. Suggest you contact your national telephone support agent for assistance. The US/Canada number is 1-800-4MY-XBOX or (faster) go to

and click on Request A Call to have the next available agent call you.
