Trouble with speakers- Only one works.

I need some help, I have these 2 speakers with a base cannon, I am also using HDMI for video and A/V cables for audio. I have the red and yellow A/V cables hooked up to a 3.5mm stereo jack to 2 rca jack. I have the red in the left rca jack, and the yellow in the right. If it is like this the left one works and the right one doesn't, then if I reverse them the right one works and the left one doesn't. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The Yellow cable is not an audio cable, Yellow is for Video.  The cable you will need to have plugged in for the right audio to work should be White in color.  If you only have a red audio cable and no white cable, you will need to purchase a Y splitter in order to support 1 audio input and split it with 2, or vise versa.  Those RCA cables should have both a Red and White cable(audio) as well as the Yellow(video).

Hope this helps. :)
