Trouble with paying for gold with card

Hey my account recently went silver and on the dashboard there's an offer 2 months of lIve for £2 no matter how many times i press confirm it loads a little bit and then i get

Error cant retrive message from abox live try again later

Status code #########

And Ive checked my details over and over its all perfect no wrong information this is definitely on microsoft's side a few of my friends have this problem as well.
