If what Collectionator said doesn't work I'd give this a try.

Look in this  thread first,  it has tons of solutions. My guess is that this is  the solution you need.

Error code

What you should do

xxxx-307D-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

xxxx-3080-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

xxxx-3143-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

xxxx-3151-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

The console is looking for a previous version of the system update. Follow these steps:

  1. Find a USB flash drive with at least 90 MB of free space.
  2. Plug the USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer.

Note The USB flash drive must use the FAT32 file system (Windows).

  3. Download the system update for your error code
    xxxx-307D-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
    xxxx-3080-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
    xxxx-3143-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
    xxxx-3151-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
  4. Click Save to save the console update .zip file on your computer.
  5. Unzip the file. If you're using Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7, double-click the .zip file to unzip it.
  6. Copy the contents of the .zip file to the root directory of your USB flash drive.
  7. Unplug the USB flash drive from your computer.
  8. If there is a disc in the console, remove it.
  9. Turn off the console.
  10. Remove all console storage devices, including any USB flash drives, external hard drives, or the internal hard drive on the Xbox 360 S console. Learn how to remove the hard drive.
  11. Plug the USB flash drive with the update into a USB port on console.
  12. Turn on the console. When the console starts, the software update should automatically start.

Verachi - Anything you just posted wouldn't work for him as 0000 (the second set of numbers) aren't even listed as one of the suggested codes to use for those steps. That specific error code isn't actually listed on the system update error page.

My bad the 3080 caught my attention,  I didn't realize it  till after I posted, that the  3080 was on the next set of  numbers.   I tried editing my post but it seems like you have a limited amount of time to edit your post  in these forums.

It's alright, I actually don't know what would happen if the user did download any of those. Just letting you know for future reference :)
