Tried everything but still can't connect to Xbox LIVE

I have tried everything that is on this website to get it working again,but it keeps failing at the last part of the connection.The error message that comes up is 'Your console is connected to the Internet but can't contact Xbox LIVE.' The error status that comes up is W:0000-0021 
X:0000-F001
Y:30A8-4840
Z:0000-0000
ID:0006-0000 
Please help!

Sometimes you need to open up the ports up on your router AND your modem. I had a similar issue myself about 2 years ago. Once I opened up the required ports on both, full connectivity returned.

Is this a brand new console or a used console? If it is a used console that you just purchased recently it is possible it has been permanently banned from XBL due to the previous owners actions. If that is the case then you will need to take the issue up with the previous owner or the shop that sold it to you. Once a console is permanently banned from XBL it is not reversed.

 

Instead of connecting your console to the router, connect it directly to the modem. Before you do be sure to power down the modem and the console. Then connect them and power up the modem first, give it a minute to boot up fully and then power up your console. Now try connecting to XBL. What is the result?

 

What model and make modem do you have? What make and model router do you have? Who is your ISP?

 

If it still does not connect then you may want to give support a ring. If you live in the US/Canada the number is 1-800-4M-XBOX.
