Transplant harddrive from XBox 360 Slim to Xbox 360 Slim Arcade

So, my "old" Xbox 360 Slim which came with a 250GB hard drive no longer works through HDMI. Component is ok.

If I acquire an Xbox 360 Slim Arcade (ie the one with 4GB flash and NO hard drive - but room for it), can I just pop the hard drive from the old Xbox 360 Slim in and then be off?

Will of course ensure that both have latest dashboard sw first and that the arcade one is wiped clean of any trace of old user accounts and so on.

Would that work?

Thanks in advance for any insight!

You'll also need to make sure you do a License Transfer to the new console.  Follow the instructions at the link below to do this.

Answer

Yes. Since the console is the same type that's no problem.
