Transferring Xbox 360 data to new 4gb Xbox 360(With a USB)

In Transferring my data with the Transfer cable I borrowed to my new Xbox with the hard drive attached, I see that on storage settings my 32gb 'DataStick Pro' USB is configured and ready. When I transferred all the info onto the USB I checked out my profile and saw that everything was there. Turning off the Xbox I took out the USB and plugged it in the back, and the next thing I know everything was gone on that USB!

Was the amount of content you needed to move small? It needs to be under 16gb to use a USB, so if you were trying to use one for 32gb of data, that might be why the transfer failed. This page support.xbox.com/.../set-up-transfer-cable details the steps to follow, and includes a video that is worth watching. You should either be using the cable to transfer from xbox to xbox OR a USB, not both. It sounds like you need to do the former for the amount of data you are transferring. Check the page though and read through it carefully. It will help.
