Transferring music from 360 onto PC

I'm purchasing my own PC soon, and want to put my music collection on it. The issue is, in the past the only medium through which I listened to music was my xbox and I don't have the original CDs because I get my music from the library (free AND legal, those two words don't go together often). With the amount of CDs it would be a pain to put them all on hold and wait for them again, so could I simply transfer the files from my xbox to a PC somehow? I tried to put one song onto a USB drive and then onto the family computer to see if that would work, but after formating the USB I couldn't transfer music onto it. The music category was grayed out and couldn't be interacted with while I could transfer any other content to the USB. Is there any way to make th USB technique work, or another way to get music onto my future PC from my xbox?

You will have to put your songs onto a CD and then rip it onto the Xbox.

Using a USB will only let you listen to them, not let you transfer them. I don't know any other way, sorry.

You've got it the wrong way around Sonic. She's not trying to get music onto her 360 but wants to know if she can get it off.

Sorry to say but that is not possible. Once the music is on the 360 the only things you can do with it are; move it to another 360 formatted device or delete it.

If you want the music on your PC then I'm afraid you are off to the Library again.
