Transferring from Xbox 360 S to Xbox 360 S?

The currently available Xbox Transfer cable says that it will not transfer from a 360 S to another 360 S...I just pre-ordered a LE Kinect Star Wars bundle, but how will I be able to transfer my data from my current 360 S to the Star Wars 360 when I get it?

The current easiest way to transfer from one to the other is to pick up a USB flash drive (or USB HDD) and set up a USB Memory Unit on it. Copy your save game files and move your Profile to the USB drive. After that you can just re-download all your content to the new console. If you leave your profile and save game files on the USB drive you can move from console to console with relative ease.

Cloud storage of one's gamertag is coming. That may obviate the need for moving files from place to place.

They may also release a new transfer cable by the time the new consoles arrive. Seagate sells similar cables for $15-$20 for use with their GoFlex drives. It's not inconceivable that MS would produce and sell something similar.
