Transfer kit problems

Hi All,

I've just bought an offical MS second hand 120gb hard drive and transfer cable but Ive just made a mistake formatting it. I wanted to do a straight transfer from my old 20gb hdd - instead I did it through system settings and it now thinks the harddrive is an external one!

Is there a way to set it so the system to recognise it again as a normal hard drive?

Thanks for your help!

Yeah - It comes up with 'No Storage devices found' under memory in system settings?

There's no authorized method to recover from formatting a HDD. However, a proper transfer cable wouldn't have allowed that in the first place. You may be justified in taking it back to your retailer.

I have been looking around and there is no legal software you can use to get it working again.
