Three new controllers sync but turn off 1 second later

Hi, I'm from Brazil, so I'm sorry for my bad english

Two weeks ago, I bought my Xbox Slim 4gb with Kinect and 1 controller.

Last week, I bought three new officials controllers. I tried to sync them, they sync but 1 second later they turn off.

I tried everything. I went back in the shop, I reported the problem that was happening and they tested and also failed. So they tested a new Xbox, and succeeded.

Everything worked perfectly. And gave me the new Xbox. I got home and tested it and everything worked. So the Xbox ask me to update.

Once updated, did not work anymore. It only works one that came with the console, three new controllers no longer work, the same thing happens, connect, i can move for 1 second and disconnects.

I don't know what I do.

Help me please!

Thanks.

Hi Icompiani,

Have you tried re-setting the xbox, or re-syncing since the update? Also have you attempted to use different batteries in the controller?

Did this solve your problem?

What is re-setting the xbox?

Yes, i tried to re-syncing, following the steps from manual of controller. And from this support.xbox.com/.../connecting-game-controllers and this support.xbox.com/.../wireless-controller-disconnects-frequently-or-cannot-connect

And still not working

Hi Icompiani,

I know you mentioned "new officials controllers" but it sounds like you may have Datel controllers. These have a known issue with the new update. Take a look here HERE if you have these controllers you can follow the links on that page to resolve the problem

No, it's not Datel. It's Official Controller from Microsoft  Model 1403.

Hey there Ico! Can you ensure you are syncing the controllers properly? Please take a look at this guide: Connect a game controller. Also, can you try these same controllers with another console that has been updated to see if they behave the same way? If they do, I'd suggest getting replacement controllers. Let us know how that goes, thanks!

Hi Mister Gwyther, I followed a hundred times this tutorial, and nothing change.

So like I said, the store gave me a new Xbox, with all controllers tested. But when updated, the controllers did not work anymore.

It's very strange, because there is not only one controller, but three controllers. Which came in the box with seal of Microsoft. How can you not work?

Like I said, I have tried everything. I put my Xbox far way from wireless router, microwaves and all the other stuff that support website asked me to do, and nothing change.

The strange thing is that nobody else has this problem. I could not find someone who has a problem like mine. That is three controllers that work for 1 second and they turn off. Even making all possible processes, and I understand computing, studied it and I still can not solve.

The only thing strange is that happens if I update the Xbox. Cause, when I bought the Xbox, I updated and after this I bought 3 controllers, and not worked. So the store gave to me a brand new, without updates and all controllers worked, but after updated, same problem.

I read that only Microsoft controllers work after update of June 20, 2012. But are Microsoft controllers, comes with manual, all right, the box with seal. If I want to shoot a photo for you.

I'm so desperate that I should have said the same thing several times, sorry.

PS: Sorry my bad english

Have you tried swapping the battery pack from the working controller to one of the non-working controllers? Or if you have the cable for the wireless controller, plug it in?

Hello Icompiani

When i looked at your video i dont think that it loses connection to the console, i think it loses connection to the batteries.

Try out to hold & push the battery pack after turning it on, maybe it loses the power. if so, some tape may fix that.

Or try out with an accumulator. maybe a friend has one ?

Thanks for your response Ico! As mentioned in my first post, can you try these same controllers on another console, and also try different controllers on your console? Let us know how that goes!
