Threatened to be hacked

A particular player has threatened to hack my account and others verbally while I am in a party. I filed a complaint on xbox live. What else can I do and what repercussions will this player have? The same player is trying to convince other players in the party to help hack my account. What can be done other than the simple act of filing a complaint and what actions will xbox live take?

Hello, the user is just threatening to hack you, but he will not hence he does not have the capability to. There is no such thing as "hacking" on Xbox live, only phishing, which is pretty much him tricking you into giving him your personal information such as your email, password, Etc. Just file a complaint on the user, necessary actions will be done, avoid the user and block communications.

The dude that said would hack my account said basically that he would download my profile onto his computer and he could just type in his email address and password into his computer and somehow access my account and he said he could even access my moms credit card #. Is all of that true.

That's known as the Community User Level or "CUL" for short. Increases are awarded to those who show consistency in helping others and staying on-topic, it can also be increased simply by post count alone as well. Moderators have controls over CUL increases and decreases, if you're seen to act out against the community or break the forum guidlines you could be dropped a level.

In simple terms just keep on topic and contribute where and when you feel is necessary, in a positive way of course.

allright, their is no such thing as hacking such as original colton has said, their is only social network manipulation, he is just trying to scare you, even if he says he has a "JTAG" he still cant hack you, because after the last dashboard update, a JTAG cannot go online because it is a tamperd with console, so the second it connects to xbox live, it becomes banned. so as colton says, the only way you can be "hacked" is if you give your information to someone. And remember, never give out your information even if its your best friend.
