This xbox S is a pile of junk?

I'm getting ticked off at this thing, it's brand new out of box. Let me explain what happened.

Powered up the xbox

Red dot of death (error 69)

rebooted

Red dot of death (error 68)

powered down

Reseated the HDD

Booted ok

try to update the thing

error 351f-0000-0080-0300-8007-0570

Ok clear the cache, checked network settings etc

try to update again

error D000-0185

Now it's doing D000-0185 constantly when I try to update. The error says it can't find a HDD, it's showing in the setting though. Should I take this pile of crap back to ebgames? or does anyone have any ideas?

Things happen sometimes. I've gotten newly open game disks with scratches on them. Now I always check before I leave the store parking lot. A lot can go wrong with shipping. I am glad things are going to work out. Make sure to set the new system up and try everything out as soon as time permits. Keep that store receipt handy just in case.

They said it would be fine to do so. Kinda choked that an out of box system doesn't work.

If you are still within the return period, I'd say return it for a replacement. No sense going through all of that if the store will exchange it.

Update

It froze on the logo screen for a long time and took its sweet time getting to the dash board, it was like 5 min.

Then it locked up on the download screen for the update.

Ya, this thing is going back to ebgames.

Hi tesla Turbine

This happens with some machines all you need to do is make sure that the HDMI or AV cable you have is fully inserted into the xbox and Television,

Then turn on. If that fails,

You then need to make sure that the Power Supply is fully inserted into the xbox and not loose at all then the cable that you put into the Power Supply is also fully inserted, As this does set off the Red Dot of Death.

If that fails.

You Must repack xbox and all content and take back to ebgames with receipt to get replaced or send it to xbox/microsoft to get replaced all for free the same as ebgames but alot longer to get a new one.

I'd prefer to go back to ebgames and get it replaced.

Hope this helped

Kieran
