This current profile is not allowed to play on Xbox LIVE. (Blops2)

I came on this morning and I connected to xbox live as usual, then it says my live will expire on 12/25/2012(Christmas, I get 12 months). Then it asks me if I would like to renew, I clicked cancel. Now I click Xbox Live on the Black Ops 2 Multiplayer Menu and it comes up with a notice saying 'The current profile is not allowed to play on Xbox LIVE.'

I have the same message and I know 100% there is no reason I should be banned or suspended.. I never use a headset and have never hacked.. very strange...

Hello, Stephen may be correct, but is is possible that you misread the date and it actually expired 11/25/12 not 12/25/12?

If the problem continues I would call 1-800-4-MyXbox and talk to a support agent, or you can go to the link at the bottom to personal chat with asupport agent, email, or have one call you.

Hey there Ps iReaPeRzZ,

Thanks for coming into the forums to get your issue solved.

So, it looks like your Gold status is still in good standing.  I have a couple of questions for you.

First, have you tried re-downloading your profile to your console to see if that clears up the issue? Go to Social>Sign In or Out>Download Profile. Sometimes a simple refresh of your profile can straighten out those types of issues.

Second, is Black Ops 2 the only game that you are having an issue playing a Multiplayer game? If there's a game-specific suspension, you can post in the Activision Community Forums here.

But, start out with the profile download, and check to see if you are having the issue with the multi-player mode in any other games.  Let us know what you find out.

I have this same issue with BOPS2.. my live expired so i reupped and now i get the error

Hi

I am having exactly the same problem, after renewing my Gold membership I can no longer sign into COD Black Ops with a message "this current profile is not allowed to play on Xbox Live." I have re-downloaded my profile but still no joy.

I'm not sure your account have gold. If you are talking about an other gamertag but posting with this gamertag on the website, you could try to clear your system cache. Otherwise feel free to post a new threat in the forums. Managing my Xbox LIVE account or if you have a redeem code Redeeming a code.
