This better be the last problem i have

I'm sick and tired of having lots of problems with my crapbox on my hands and i have managed to somehow keep paying for this nonsense. I pay for this service every month and the problem that i have now is when i try to update or download a game, the update pauses and i must keep restarting the update so it goes farther and farther every time. So far i can get a 10mb download done in about 2 hours. Now when this dlc for Black ops 2 comes out i will not be able to download it and it is a complete waste of 50 dollars for the season pass. I have done some research and it says to clear my system cache and i have done that several times. This is also only one problem. Another problem that i'm having is that i get disconected  from a xbox live party probably once every 15 seconds literally. But please address my first problem first so that i may not waste my hard earned cash. So please DON'T tell me to clear my system cache. I am counting on you xbox. Don't let me down here because if you do, my xbox will end up on ebay.

Your frustration is quite understandable, but can you provide us with a bit more information?

How are you currently connecting to your internet, IE Wired or Wireless?  Do you have connection problems with any other piece of hardware?

You mention updates...are you talking about individual game updates, or system updates?

Sounds like a slow internet connection.

Could you tell us who your provider is, and what modem and router you use?

It seems your internet settings are not at the optimal rate. Please be more specific as to what sort of connection you have, and how you have it set up.

XSOLOX, could you post a little more info please?

What model is your xbox? Older version or the slim? How old is it? Did you purchase it new or was it used? 

Are you using local storage for your profile or do you use a USB drive or Cloud Storage for that? (I ask because sometimes folks with multiple xboxes in the house store gamesaves etc on a thumbdrive) 

Make and Model of router. Not really banking on a network issue quite yet, some of what you're describing sounds more like profile or hardware.  As you've already stated that you've cleared your cache settings.  Have you tried deleting and redownloading your profile?

    my speed tests are 5.47 mb/s download, 2.43 mb/s upload and 33ms ping

 I have a 250gb xbox 360 that i got last year.My service provider is mediacom.I have a D-link DIR-632 router. I only have one xbox in the house and i use my hard drive that came with my xbox.

This problem happens on game updates and also xbox live updates

Do you use a Headset with your Xbox? If you have a Turtle Beach Headset, the receiver that comes with the X31 or X41 for example, will cause wireless interference between your xbox and your router. If you have to start the download over and over to get it to download it is most likely wireless interference. Have you tried a wired connection to see if that works? That will also cause your issues with getting disconnected from parties most likely.

If you run the connection test from the Xbox network settings, what does your NAT type come back as?
