Terms of use "Parent must accept....."

I'm trying to accept the terms of use but a message keeps saying I need my parent to accept them for me. I'm 21, I haven't had a parent associated with my account for many years and I don't have the information it is asking for (password). I can't use my account until this is fixed. Does anyone have a solution? I've tried to find a phone number I can call but I have had no luck so far.

Unfortunately, literally thousands and thousands of people (me included) are having the same problem. I'm almost 19 and I know all of my account info EXCEPT the parental part (which my brother made). As for now, all we can do is wait :\

Hello,

You will need to first gain access to the parental account in order for you to be able to successfully agree to the terms and conditions. You won't be able to change the parental e-mail without being able to login to the prior e-mail that's listed.

You're getting that prompt to enter in the parental information because your account is still a child account. You would need to promote your account from a child to an adult on the Xbox 360. This process can only be done after agreeing to the updated terms by following the directions here.

The parent must agree to the new terms first and then you can login to your own account and accept them. If you don't have access to the parental account you will need to try to reset the password found here. If that doesn't work try to fill out the Microsoft Account Recovery form found here.

If you're unable to either of those things then you may be out of luck. You can try to contact phone support and see if they are able to assist you in some way.

Further information in regards to the new terms of service agreement update can be found here.
