System Update stopped

Hi,

I just buy my xbox 360 s new today. I put "Sniper ELITE" in it, then it asked do you wanna apply updates, i answered yes.
XBox restarts and while it's trying to apply updates, it said: "Can't read the update from the disc. Please reinsert the disc to continue the update. if the problem persists, visit www.xbox.com/support. Status code: 351F - 397F - 2800 - 0F00 - C000 - 0034"

Why this happened to it and what should i do reset it or bring it back (Cancel applying updates) and continue playing my another games?

Does this only happen when you are trying to connect to live? If so take it back for an Exchange

Nope.

Look i put that game in XBox, when it was trying to load it, it asked me without applying updates you can't play this game, do you wanna apply them. I just click on Yes.

Then XBox restarts and after that when i start it, it automatically goes to a wizard that tries to apply updates, soon that error in white background appears and i've no other choice except to turn my console off.

Now i don't know what should i do to skip from this applying updates and continue to play my another games. What should i do to skip from this step and bring my XBox back or what should i do to fix (apply updates) it?

Hi there,

I can't even open my XBox dashboard to set things in it. When XBox console is loading up, in first time before anything it goes to applying updates and force goes to that error page. No other buttons appears to go anywhere of dashboard, i just can turn it off.

I need a solution to reset it maybe, or cancel this "Applying updates" wizard, or fix it.

May I ask how long it's been doing this? As is did this happen "the second" you started running your new console?

It was my first time that but this console today, and first time to play this game.

This "Applying updates" and appearing error shows for more than 10 times; more than 10 times i turn the console off and on, it just again do that previous proccess.

Hm, you should call Xbox Phone Support then and inform them of this.

Take the console back to the store and exchange it for another one. SIMPLE AS THAT :)

IT would take more time to deal with phone support then it would to take it back with a receipt to exchange it for a new one.

Thanks everybody, i found the answer.

Today i call that shopping i bought from, he said you shouldn't put another XBox's games on your console. It's not a big problem, just bring it back for 1hr and we'll fix it so soon.

Also when some games like that asked you to apply updates or not, you should say NO. Nothing will change just it never goes to that annoying wizard!
