system seems to update successfully, then shuts off and wont power back on.

anyone know if this is actually a power brick issue or console issue?

Hey there folks! Let's see what we can do to get things sorted.

To start off, I suggest unplugging the console entirely from the outlet. Leave it unplugged for at least 5-10 minutes. Then plug the console directly into the wall outlet (not into a power strip).

Let us know how that goes and if the console powers on properly. If it doesn't, the next best step is to use the Contact Us page to set up a support call with a specialist who will be able to work through your options with you.

I would try calling 1-800-4-MY-XBOX they should be able to tell you.I do not have a system so I'am not sure if there is an issue with the power bricks.

Im having the same issue. Used my brother's power brick which is working and still having the problem, so im guessing console issue.
