To reset your cache on your HDD.

You can do this on your console by going to the Dashboard>My Xbox>Scroll to the far right>System Settings>Select Memory>With Harddrive highlighted press Y to Clear System Cache.

Doing this, every game you play for the first time will be updated again.

The hard drive is in the bottom, you can take part of the bottom off and pull the hard drive out.  It tells you how to do it in the xbox manual.  Or you can have a look here http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-360/how-to/add-remove-hard-drive
