Switching from Family Plan to regular Gold

Hello all, I currently have an Xbox Live Gold Family plan, but I noticed that none of my family members have used their accounts in over six months (darn parents just won't embrace technology), so I was wanting to switch back to a single account instead of essentially paying double for my Gold. I can't find anywhere an option to revert my account that doesn't also lose me the seven months I have left on the account.

I suppose I could set it to not auto-renew and then re-subscribe when it runs out, but I was hoping to take a more proactive approach.

Hello sir. You could keep all the membership yourself by removing profiles in the plan. This can be done by following this steps:

Console steps: Remove a member from a Gold Family Pack

On your console, sign in to Xbox LIVE with the primary account for the Gold Family Pack.

Go to Settings, and then select Family.

Select the member you want to remove from the Gold Family Pack.

Go to Account Management, and then select Remove From Gold Family Pack.

Follow the on-screen instructions to remove the member from the Gold Family Pack. When prompted, confirm the removal.

Computer steps: Remove a member from a Gold Family Pack

Go to the Family Center.

Hover over a family member, and then click Remove from Family.

Thanks for the quick response. I actually already removed the other gamertags, but my account (the primary on the Family Plan) can't be removed from the family, and when renewal time comes around I'm concerned that I'll be charged for the full Family Plan instead of just for myself, since my subscription on my account is still listed as a Family.

When you try to leave the Family Group, does an error shows up?

It could be error "8015102F".

If you have this type of error you could find a solution here:

There isn't an option for me to leave the Family Group, I was able to remove the other three but when I go to remove my own account the button simply isn't there. I'm trying to do this via the web, though. Will try doing through the console real quick. If I can't figure it out there I'll get in touch with support directly.

I will recommend trying this directly in the console, because sometimes the features of the console are not the same as the Xbox.com features; for example, listen to voice messages.

Looks like I'll have to talk to support, when I try to leave the family group via the console the button is grayed out and won't let me select it. Thanks for the suggestions though.
