Suspension.

Today, I went to play some Black Ops II, but when I logged onto my account on Xbox, it said...

"Your membership has been suspended until you update your payment option. We'll charge your payment option and reactivate your membership after you update your account, but there may be some delay. "Info about where to go"". 

I press A on, "Update Payment Option"

I then select the credit card I want to use, and it says...

"Your payment option has been updated. We'll use (Credit Card Info) to automatically renew your membership. After your payment goes through, your membership will be reactivated. This may take a little while. To check your account status, visit www.xbox.com/account."

I have waited for 3 hours, and my membership isn't back yet. Am I being impatient or is something broken?

Have you seen any activity on the credit card?

I would suggest calling support regardless to see what they can do in order to speed up the process for you.  If you have a valid credit card and the payment has gone though, I can't think of any reason you would have to wait until the account could be used again.

Maybe give it a little while longer then if it still hasn't been reactived contact xbox support.

This implies that your current payment method may not be valid at this time. This can rarely be fixed on your end.

You can call the billing department on phone support, and they can sort this out.

You will probably need to call support at 1-800-4myxbox to get this resolved. Account settings of that sort will need to be handled by a customer service rep.

You can call them at  1-800-4MY-XBOX Option 1 in the US et Canada or (faster)

 

go to http://xbox.com to sign in there then go to

 

http://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us?xr=footnav#0:2:5 and

 

click on Request A Call -

 

but if you live in Canada, use the CA country code instead of the red US.
