i didn't get any help on here and then when i called the support line, the *** hung up on me halfway through explaining what the problem was. absolute joke

If you use profanity they will hang up on you i suggest calling them back its not like its the operators fault they there to help you just call them back and Good Luck

Exactly! I've worked retail, at Radio Shack, U.S. Cellular and Office Depot, people will take out their frustrations on you, like you are the whole company or something. All you can do is do your best, and stay calm, which isn't always easy.

We here in America have whats called freedom of speech. You work/represent that company so in fact you are part of that company. Don't act like MS Customer Service are geniuses, they are far from average intelligence. Everything is always your connection/nat/router/etc.... all these people do is read information from a screen that some other genius wrote.

Its a standard operating procedure they have to ask you to do those options to eliminate them as possible scenarios then they find out its a issue on there end much like the cable company operators maybe less helpful but they are just a basic operators trying to help, they dont think us gamers know more than them when it comes troubleshooting Xbox issues.

Well they can notate the account page that they verify when you first talk to them. A simple "This user has properly configured their router, its our crappy programming that is causing the issue." They just need to hire programmers who have brains.
