Storage Space

I have a 4GB Xbox Slim and have done some reading about adding more memory without buying a new hard drive (because of the cost). It would be perfectly legal and within the Terms of Use to use a 16GB Flash Drive to store game files on, correct?

If you have one you could also use an old HDD, I upgraded from an elite to a slim console, I kept the elites HDD and using the data transfer cable  I'm able to swap saves around as and when required, it's been really handy for keeping my old saves and DLC that I don't use very often.

Yes that is 1000% okay. However some games such as Halo 3 and original Xbox titles will require a proper hard drive to use.
