Stopped connecting to secured wireless network...

I've had my XBox 360 S since Xmas last year, and I've had it happily working and connected to the internet since then.  I'd not played with it for a month or 3, but turned it on on Saturday and used it to stream music off my laptop over the wireless network which it did quite happily.  It also downloaded a bunch of updates which it had missed since I'd not used it for a bit.   At the end fo the day I turned it off.

The next day, I turned it back on again to find it would not longer connect to my wireless connect.  It sees the network and connects, but never gets a DCHP lease.  The router isn't seeing it at all.  I don't have mac filtering on, and I've recreated the  connection a number of times but no luck.

Any ideas where to do now?   I can't exactly use a cable to test it wired as the TV is a long way away from the router!    Could there have been something in those updates which has changed something?

What Country/State/Province do you live in?   Uk
Modem brand & model number:  Scientific Atlanta Cable Modem.
Router brand & model number: Azurewave AW-NR580
 Network Connection Type: Wireless/Wired:  Wireless
If Wireless, what type of encryption are you using?  WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK Mixed
If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter?  Internal Adapter

Things you have tried:
Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown
Is NAT Type Open?
Any Error Codes you encounter:
What type of internet do you have? Cable/DSL/T1/3G?
Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)?

Not getting far enough for any of these to really apply as the modem isn't getting an IP, but it's Cable with Virgin Media.

After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" and click on "More info", what is the exact message shown on screen? "Can't obtain an IP address from your router or modem.  Turn of..... etc"

Not getting far enough for any of these to apply.

Can you turn off wireless security (just as a test) and see if you can browse to your wireless network and connect ok? Turn off Wi-Fi Protected set-up of as well and leave that off.

Right, I've done a bit more testing.  The following options work:

Open.

Wep with shared key.

The following don't:

WPA

WPA2

WPA/WPA2 Mixed.

:/

It connected fine using WPA/WPA2 mixed on Saturday, but not now!   Obviously running it on WEP is just as bad as having it open!

Thanks for help so far.

When you choose WPA2 can you ensure you choose AES as the Cipher and NOT TKIP. If that still doesn't work please check the Azurewave website for an update to your router firmware

!

That worked.... has there been an xbox update recently which forced CCMP rather than TKIP?  I've never enable CCMP before yet was happily online on Saturday!
