STILL no option to promote child account.

I'm 20 damn years old, and there is still no option to promote my child account.
There was no option when I was 18, there was no option when I was 19, why the the hell can I still not upgrade it?

I follow the exact instructions but the option is not on the list.

How would I remember? It was years ago.

And as far as I know there is no way to check what date was put in.

Terrible system Microsoft uses for these things.

And if anything, WHY would I make my birth date younger?

If anything I'd have made my age higher to bypass all this eventual bullsh*t.

No. I don't buy gold at all, I use my PS3 if I want to play online games, which is almost never.

If the Promote options isn't there when it should, I'd assume you accidentally entered your DOB incorrectly. I'm not sure if they have access to this information, but you could try phoning support in your region (support.xbox.com/.../contact-us.aspx) as they handle most of the account issues we see. Thanks!

How long ago did you create that profile? Is it possible that you didn't put down your birthday at all?

If so, then it's possible that your birth date was automatically assigned to the current date, when you created the account, meaning that if you made it, let's say 5 years ago, you're only 5 years old, according to Xbox live.

Today the signup process has been altered so that it collects the info from your Microsoft ID account but that doesn't change the fact that allot of old accounts that were made, using the old method, are carrying birthdates that won't reach maturity for well over a decade.

Obviously that's a problem and as such, you should report it to xbox customer support, like I have. Describe to them what I told you and hopefully they'll start paying attention to this problem.

I got the same problem man. I'm 19 and there is still no promote child account. Im pretty sure I put in my actual birthday when I created it. I hate how I cant even check and see what they have for a birthdate written down maybe I did *** it up or like Choken1 mentioned maybe I didnt put one in at all. I have had this account for years and just always assumed that I had put in the right date when I made it until this happened.

XBox Support cant promote your child acct. When you search up in the search bar on this page it tells you you have to do it yourself. So when you are of age, you should be able to go to acct management, and under the manage acct page there should be a "promote child acct" option.
