Status code 80072ee2

This status code has to do with downloading things from the marketplace, which is not what I am trying to do!  I am able to "connect" to live, and see my friends online.  However I can't access any apps or marketplace content.  Further, when testing the connection my Xbox tells me that everything is working perfectly.  A few hours ago this was not happening.  What gives?  I have tried clearing my marketplace cache already to no avail.  There doesn't seem to be any service alerts, either.

Having a similar issue, not sure if XBL is having issues, but haven't seen anything if that is the case.

Same problem here.  If its a prblem with LIVE then why aren't there any service alerts?  Maybe something catastrphic has happened @ MS and they haven't told us yet.

support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status still says everything is Up and Running.   We must be the problem,

I was just playing black ops  2 Lastnight online just got revolution  playing it perfectly fine and now this status code came up how do I fix it. This is aggravating
