It`s update time again(don`t know if i should laugh or cry):-) i checked my connection:it runs like hell i cleared the cache:only thing that happend the last number changed to 1911 so i am still unable to connect....and please folks not the same post like the last update! I wrote there:the MS guys have a problem to make a proper update for everybody time will tell and it will work! I was right after 2 or 3 days the *** worked. I had the whole last week probs with my connection signed in and out! My internet-connection was outstanding!! So if anyone has a real good idea...not that blabla:test your connection....clear your cache....ask the support! Your welcome:-)) Anyway i think in 2 days i could update....maybe....last time i got the update and nothing worked well.... Lord Bill loses ground and that one day before the japanese guys make their big presentation....for you know that other gamingthing:-)) By the way my location is southern norway..maybe to cold for updates

I did give in to the old fall back rebooting modem and router and it worked

The update could not be downloaded from Xbox LIVE. Try the following:

  1. Try installing the update again.
  2. If you’re having problems connecting or staying connected to Xbox LIVE, see Xbox LIVE connection problems.

Note You can also update your console software by copying the update to a USB flash drive or a disc and then applying it to the console. See Troubleshoot console software update problems.

Well for 1 a lot of those numbers are specific to regions and router settings only a couple of the numbers actually tells you what the issue is. So that's explains the numbers.

As you seem well versed with the normal explanation and you said it eventually worked last time, I can speculate that the reason you have issues is because the update server is being flooded by tons of people downloading the update so your connection didn't get through, as you said this is a connection issue.

However having said that, if you haven't done the normal hoops, I still recommend it as this time that might actually be the issue.

I have the same problem. All my other devices are working fine ( computers, ipads, iphones). I tested the xbox connection and it is connected to the internet but fails the xbox live connection test

Have you seen this article? Troubleshoot console software update problems. That article has some great troubleshooting steps. I would suggest giving solutions 4 & 5 a shot.

hey aduster good for you.i tried it this afternoon it started the download but stopped again with the same status code.i think maybe tomorrow or friday it works.the prob is  a microsoft-problem not my!

by the way you piay DS3:-))-----maybe when my *** is running again we could shoot one together!in the meantime i chop wood and go cross-country skiing

I have cant connect to xbox live i had to put the update onto a usb after I got that onto my xbox I says everything okay with my connection but when I try and sign in comes up with that 80151911 code any suggestions?
