I start my Xbox 360 250gig Halo edition.

machine comes on

the little swirling icon swirls a bit longer then usual but the main screen comes on.

Update is available for the xbox press ok. I press okay

Download starts and then after a few seconds:

Status Code: 3151-335A-A080-0C00-8007-2746

Now I can't log on to xbox live what so ever. 

Oh and my network is rock solid and everything else on it is working just fine.

 

Anyone?

There have been a few srange issues popping up, my console popped the can't obtain the IP address error after the update and restoring my router to defaults and resetting up my network resolved the error.  Like you my network was working fine until the update so I'm not sure why this fix worked but it did might give it a shot.  Other then that all I have been able to dig up about this error code of yours is its connection related.

You may want to try giving customer support a call and see if they know more about this error code so you can try the correct line troubleshooting.

I update my xbox 360 and now it wont let me on xbox live I called xbox live after the update told them and they said that someone will called with in 24 to 48 hours and now its the 3rd day and no calls I think xbox live dont care about us and dont wont to fix our xbox 360.

Try connecting with a network cable instead of wireless. I had the same error and that allowed me to download the update.
