static ip adress

i got a century link modem modle 660, it says on my xbox when i try to use our wifi it has a static ip adress and to restart the modem. ive did this countless times and it still wont work. any answers??

Ive never heard of something called static ip adress.

Have you tried to reset the modem?

Hello,quick question

Are you trying to connect the xbox through the wi fi signal or are you trying to use wi fi and the xbox at same time?

With a static ip address the router wont issue new ip's to your devices and not allow them to connect to the internet

Solutions 4-8 might help... mainly number 7, turn on dhcp

Also you can config the settings in your router (please refer to the user manual for that)
