Sound issues when playing CDs

When i play a CD the sound comes out like a dusty LP.
Not sure when it started because the first time i tried it i assumed it was the disc, even though it worked fine in a cd player.
However i tried it again today and others are doing it too now.
It ONLY does it to cds. Videos, dvds and already uploaded tracks are fine.
I have a HDMI going straight into my TV/Monitor.

I miss the good ol'e days where blowing on it would work.

No, one of them was my parents Led Zeppelin cd so it might be older than me :P but is perfectly clear on everything else, and it happened with some newer cds too. Its like a bad connection or dust in the speakers . If it wasn't fine the rest of the time.
