So i cannot play my Burned Bluray discs?

Well, i bought the console to, among other things, PLAY BLURAYS.

I have DOZENS of burned bluray's with family videos and NONE of them PLAY. Insert them and i get the black screen that states that the console cant read them.

I have tried many discs from many brands and nothing, but when you insert an original bluray movie plays right away.

Its a shame im not "allowed" to play any bluray i want.

I sure hope Microsoft reply to my thread with some kind of solution becuase other wise ill have to buy a separate bluray player just for those discs and the whole "XBOX ONE" "The one device for your livingoroom philosophy" is broken.

Cheers!

I would suggest that the drive has been disabled from reading writeable BD's.  I am pretty sure that this was how the 360 drive was configured, and people were flashing their drives to enable the ability to read burned discs (i.e. play burned copies of games).

I would wait for comfirmation from one of the more experienced members, but would put money on that this ability has merely been disabled from the final build.

It will do this one from Microsoft. Or should I replace my xbox one for PS4 because there it all works. There are also works True HD and DTS-HDM. Xbox is one big disappointment for me

Hey there declanduff1888!

At this moment, BD-R is not a supported feature on Xbox One at this time. I suggest heading over to our Xbox Feedback page to either see if someone has posted this idea and vote for it, or post the idea for others to vote for it! That way your feedback will go directly to the proper teams! :)

Since this is an older thread, be sure to post a new thread if you need assistance in the future! :D
