The Canadian studio behind Eternal Darkness and Too Human announced they have let go some of their staff.
GamesIndustry International received a statement from Silicon Knights' chief Denis Dyack that said "a small number of people" were part of the most recent round of layoffs following a North Carolina court order to pay more than $4 million for a counter-suit against Epic Games. This follows the 45 employees who were let go during the last holiday.
"Silicon Knights has unfortunately had to lay off a small number of people. We are scaling back to a core group and focusing all our efforts on future opportunities."
These unemployment announcement, however, have not deterred the company from delivering their announcement titles. Dyack squashed an Internet rumor that the sequel to Eternal Darkness is about to enter development hell, saying "it is not true and has no basis in fact."
